What To Wear When Hiking

As I think,June is a great time for hiking in Ireland as the weather is generally sunny and warm. But, remember, it can rain a lot here even in June. Yes! It’s true.

So, when you go for hiking, be mentally ready for rain. Bring a light raincoat, waterproof pants or a cover and waterproof shoes to protect from sudden rain.

I like hiking in shorts, but only if I’m sure it won’t rain! Also, it can be cold and windy, so a windbreaker is important.

I always carry a small backpack with me. It has a water bladder inside to keep me hydrated while I hike.

Strictly! As you can’t drink alcohol outside of Ireland, but many pubs have outdoor areas. Bring a light jacket even if it feels hot during the day as evenings can get chilly.

No need to be worried about what to wear to a pub. Irish people are laid-back, so wear whatever you feel comfortable in, even if you’ve just come from a hike.

American tourists often dress up with their state, college or favorite team, but you won’t see much from the Irish.

If you’re going to a nightclub, Irish people like to dress up a bit. Boys usually wear jeans, button-up shirts and nice shoes. Women wear everything from jeans and a nice top to tight dresses or skirts. Don’t worry too much about dressing up at an Irish club.

Electronics to Pack for a Trip to Ireland in June

Planning and making sure you have the right technology for your trip is crucial. If you rent a car in Ireland, you can get GPS, but it may be cheaper to use data on your phone and use Google Maps instead.

Most hotels and B&Bs have hairdryers and many offer WiFi, so it’s easy to have data on your phone. Don’t forget to turn off your data plan to avoid big charges on your phone bill.

I always bring noise-canceling headphones for noisy flights. I’ve been using Apple Headphones headphones for two years, and they are the best noise-cancelling headphones out there.

For photography, I use my phone and a small tripod called a gorillapod. I also love doing drone photography with my DJI Mavic—it’s compact and perfect for capturing Ireland’s beautiful scenery. Remember to know local drone regulations and carry your drone in your carry-on bag.

A GoPro is a great addition if you’re into extreme sports like surfing or biking The stabilization on the GoPro is really good.
